What is the purpose of syncing the powerbox to my computer? And do I have to?
Syncing your powerbox enables you to have a backup of all data gathered by the powerbox. Should the powerbox malfunction for one reason or another, having your data synced ensures that none of your information is lost. You are not required to sync your powerbox, however we recommend you do otherwise you run the risk of losing your data. As your privacy is important, Genergy PowerBox does not store your data.

Why should I create a profile?
The main goal of the powerbox is to show you how much energy your household consumes. By creating a profile, the system can generate an estimate of the amount of energy you potentially consume, even before you start using the powerbox. After the profile is generated, you will be given a list of energy saving tips that can help you reduce your energy consumption. Creating a profile also enables you to compare later on your previous consumption before the powerbox and your consumption afterward.

Some of the energy tips look ridiculous. Do they actually work?
With energy usage, even the smallest thing makes a big difference. You may not feel the draft coming in from improperly sealed windows, but you are losing hundreds of dollars monthly because of it. Genergy PowerBox is as concerned about energy mismanagement as you are and we want to help you save some money at the same time.

How long will it take for the support team to get back to me regarding my problem?
That all depends on when you had your issue and what time you contacted support. It should not take support more than 24 hours to get back to you on a regular business day during regular business hours. It may be a little longer during the weekend. Please understand that support may have other issues to handle before yours as they try to get to the issues in the order they receive them.

How do I know my powerbox is gathering data?
If you wish to sync your powerbox, you could hook the box up to your computer or other syncing device and see if any data transfers over. If you do not wish to sync your powerbox, you could contact support and a team member could let you know if your powerbox is working correctly.

How long do I have to wait before I see results?
Your powerbox should begin monitoring immediately. However, until you fill out your energy profile and learn what measures you can take to save energy, you probably will not see a difference in your energy bill.
